A NEWARK ATTRACTION SINCE 2007
DIRECT TO VINYL SERIES
Live in studio performances cut directly to vinyl before a small audience.
Before the days of computers and auto tune, musicians and engineers used simple analog technology. Inspired by classic recordings that used these “limitations”, The Direct to Vinyl Series aims to challenge the modern approach to recording music and the musicians who record it.

FAQ
Tickets are available on our events page via Eventbrite.
There is only one pure cut per session. The pure cut is cut in real time from the artist's performance to the vinyl lathe. Pure cuts are 10" and contain between 2 and 3 songs.
You will arrive 30 minutes before the performance. Due to the nature of the event the doors will close five minutes prior to show time. If you are late a refund will not be granted.
See Eventbrite for the refund policy for cancellations.
This is different from a typical show. Guests will be seated in the studio. Some of the musicians will be in the room, others will be in isolation booths. Guests will be provided headphones and will hear what the artists are hearing. The performance will be an hour with a meet-and-greet following the show.
We ask the audience to be as quiet as possible during the performance so not to impact the recording. There will be breaks for conversations...and coughs.
You are welcome to take photos and videos. Please do not bring a camera with a shutter sound that could be heard during the performance.
Food and drink will not be available for purchase. Limited complimentary refreshments and snacks will be available.
Following the show you can place order for a vinyl. You will be able to choose which songs you want on your vinyl. Generally speaking 7" records will contain 2-4 songs, 10" records will contain 4-6 songs, and 12" records will contain 6-10 songs. Records will be shipped within a week of the show.
